About
Breakdealer is an international jazz booking agency, founded in autumn 2024 by Mihkel Maekalle (in the picture, just a bit younger than now) – a musician and music lover.
The aim is to provide listeners the chance to experience true variety of jazz music and stylistics whilst also being a connecting hub for artists globally.
Breakdealer is named after a brilliant tune by Pat Metheny.

Anatole Muster
At only 23 years of age, Swiss London-Based producer and accordion phenomenon Anatole Muster has already gained critical praise from both musicians and fans alike. His unique approach to modern jazz got featured by Jamie Cullum on his BBC 2 radio show and made him collaborate with genre-bending heavyweights just as Tennyson, Kiefer or Louis Cole. Anatole’s music has propelled him to perform worldwide, including shows at Montreux Jazz Autumn of Music, Rio Montreux Jazz Festival, Rakvere Funkfest in Estonia and two sold-out performances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, to name a few.

Nikita Korzoun
Saxophonist and composer Nikita Korzoun, born in Tallinn, has always been passionate about jazz. He strives to bring back traditional jazz through his music while incorporating modern knowledge, skills, and sounds. His biggest inspirations are artists like Cannonball Adderley, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kenny Garrett, Michael Brecker, and McCoy Tyner. Nikita has performed at various festivals, including the international festival Visioon, Tudengijazz, Jazz Time, Jazzkaar, Jazz Across Borders, and more. In 2018, he won the Round Table contest-concert. In 2021, Nikita made his debut with his own ensemble at the Baltics’ largest jazz festival, Jazzkaar. That same year, he achieved second place in the Uno Naissoo competition with the Mäekalle – Korzoun Duo. In 2023, his composition “Apfelsoda” secured third place in the same competition, and he was also nominated for the Estonian Jazz Awards in the Young Jazz Talent category. His work can be heard on his debut album “Count To Three.”

Tom Ford
Tom Ford has been a steady member of the UK jazz scene for the past 10 years having regularly performed at Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Cafe, 91 living room and more as well as being a regular sideman for Reuben James, Jas Kayser and Jay Phelps. He has also been welcomed into the US and European jazz scenes respectively touring and recording with Chris ‘daddy’ Daves drumhedz, Keyon Harrold, Petter Eldh’s Projekt Drums amongst others. Outside of jazz he also writes and produces for many people in both the jazz and commercial world, having working across the world in LA, NY, Europe and Brazil.

Mathei Florea New Grounds
Mathei Florea New Grounds is an eight-member Berlin-based modern- nordic jazz band. When combining a standard jazz quartet with strings, it becomes a musical delight—a mixture of modern jazz and classical music. The founder and leader of this group is pianist Mathei Florea. The compositions are greatly inspired by Petros Klampanis and Arvo Pärt.

ZAVA
Zava, also known as Natalja Zaugarova, is a new soul-pop artist from Estonia. With her music, Zava delivers all four seasons to the listener in just a few minutes—caressing the ears like a gentle spring breeze, shielding like an umbrella from autumn rain, filling the air with the scent of early spring flowers, and captivating audiences like the vibrant music festivals of summer. The Zava band was formed in the autumn of 2021, and Zava’s music is primarily written in collaboration between Natalja Zaugarova and Mihkel Mäekalle.

Akinroots
Akinroots is a dynamic jazz-fusion trio mixing jazz, funk, West African rhythms, and electronic elements. Their music is vibrant, rich in improvisation, and full of energy.
The trio—Alexandre Bamba (bass), Adrien Verger (drums), and Louis Le Page (keys)—has performed at MASA Festival (Côte d’Ivoire), Sunset Sunside (Paris), and Jazz à Oloron. Their 2024 debut album Multiverse blends groove, melody, and cultural influences into a fresh, modern sound.

Amelia Rose
Amelia Rose is a singer, writer and producer hailing from London. Having early success with her debut singles in the chilled RnB scene, she is currently experimenting the boundaries of RnB with pop, jazz and electronic genres alongside her smooth, ethereal sound. She plans to showcase her continuing evolution through a series of collaborations and self-produced tracks. Having released her two EP’s and collaborative singles, she has cultivated more than 2 million streams which have given her many opportunites to perform live such as Great Escape Festival, support shows (Yakul) and showcases (Soul Kitchen Brixton). Not only does she captivate her own audience, catch Amelia Rose toplining tracks with her soaring melodies or behind the scenes, accumulating a portfolio of production, songwriting and mixing for other artists. In August 2024, she released a self-produced EP, stepping into the alt RnB scene and continues to do so with her future projects in 2025.
