Reshaping in their own image and passionately introducing the world of jazz-fusion in all its forms is the challenge that Akinroots, three friends from CMDL and various conservatories in France with complementary backgrounds and influences, have set for themselves.

This innovative group has successfully found its modern balance in the exploration of jazz, funk, West African rhythms, and even electro. They offer us a genuine journey through their refreshing compositions, where their diverse origins are celebrated.

Akinroots is a project infused with passion, joy, but above all, simplicity. It’s a blend of colors and cultures that come together as one.

It all started with the gathering of 3 passionate students meeting in Rouen, Normandy. Akinroots have been playing together since 2019 with this infinite desire of sharing emotions with the audience. The group offers a rich and mixed musical panel where the sound, the team spirit and feeling are everywhere. They value improvisation very much, and each and one of the compositions take us on a journey.
