At only 23 years old, Swiss-London-based producer and accordion phenomenon Anatole Muster has gained critical acclaim from both musicians and fans alike. His unique approach to modern jazz was featured by Jamie Cullum on his BBC 2 radio show and made him collaborate with genre-bending heavyweights just as Tennyson, Kiefer or Louis Cole. Anatole’s unmistakable sound has propelled him to perform worldwide, including shows at Montreux Jazz Autumn of Music, Rio Montreux Jazz Festival, Rakvere Funkfest Estonia and two sold-out performances at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London, to name a few.
After the overwhelmingly positive response to his self-released, self-produced debut album ™Wonderful now”, which has already surpassed a million streams on Spotify alone, Anatole has been crafting his highly anticipated sophomore album, hopecore, which was released release in May 2025. hopecore is a direct response to the praise and encouragement he received from his fans following his first album, inspiring him to dive even deeper into his signature sound – a sound that transcends genres, aiming for the very core of emotion and musical expression.
His distinct voice – expressed through both his accordion and its custom-built, one-of-a-kind MIDI counterpart paired with his instantly recognisable melodic language, creates a sonic world that is unmistakably Anatole. Effortlessly journeying through hyperpop, nostalgic ’80s jazz fusion, Midwest emo, pluggNB, Brazilian jazz, and modern jazz, Anatole uses his melodies as a vehicle to explore new musical horizons. In doing so, he redefines the accordion, crafting something entirely fresh and original in every song – while always evoking a lighthearted yet deeply nostalgic emotion that is deeply uplifting. Combined with a visual world just as unique and unexpected like whizzing to a work meeting in dress shoe heelies hopecore delivers a surreal, hypermodern listening experience that radiates a quiet yet powerful sense of hope.
His boundary-pushing approach to music is reflected in his extensive network of collaborators. Besides collaborating with some some of the most innovative names in jazz like Hadrien Feraud, the GRAMMY award winning pianist and composer Buttonmasher, chilean internet-jazz-sensation varra or brazilian bass luminary Frederico Heliodoro, Anatole hints at his extensive network that stretches well beyond jazz. Collaborating with notable musicians from across-the-board, like M Field, South African singer of the radio-chart-breaking band Beatenberg, Amelia Rose, one of London’s most exciting upcoming R&B artists.
